For more than 30 years, Red Star Food Pantry has been a source of food, support, and hope for individuals and families throughout the Cape Girardeau region.
What began during the Great Midwest Flood of 1993, when the Red Star Baptist Church received and distributed truckloads of donated food to help flood victims and local families in need, has grown into a long-standing community resource, sustained for decades through the dedication of volunteers, community partners, donors, and supporters.
Today, Red Star Food Pantry is proud to become part of Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri (CPSEMO). Together, we are committed to sustaining and strengthening this important resource so Red Star can continue serving families in our community for generations to come.

Our USDA Distribution is available every Tuesday and Friday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9-11 a.m.
Senior Boxes:
Senior boxes are given on the third Thursday of the month from 11:00am-1:00pm for those age 60 and over. Must sign up for senior boxes. Identification and proof of address required. Offers a distribution text alert system to notify of distribution days. Send a text to sign up. Food and clothing donations are accepted.
