Home Repair Opportunity (HeRO) Program

CPSEMO administers the Home Repair Opportunity (HeRO) Program through the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) to help eligible low- and moderate-income homeowners make necessary repairs to their homes.

HeRO provides assistance for non-cosmetic home repairs that address health, safety, accessibility, weatherization, and housing code concerns. The program is designed to help eligible homeowners maintain safe, healthy, and affordable housing while allowing them to remain in their homes.

Through the HeRO Program, CPSEMO works with eligible homeowners and approved contractors to identify needed repairs, complete the required inspections and assessments, and oversee the rehabilitation process.

Homeowners must meet program eligibility requirements, including income and property qualifications.

If you are a homeowner in our service area and are interested in learning more about the HeRO Program, contact CPSEMO or complete the application below to find out if you may qualify for assistance.

Please email completed applications to calvin@cpsemo.org or contact 573-388-0371 for any questions.
