Housing & Homelessness Assistance
Support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or seeking affordable living options.
NeighborHUB
Provides showers, laundry, food, employment, and housing assistance for individuals experiencing homelessness.
HeRO: Home Repair Opportunity Program
HeRO provides assistance for non-cosmetic home repairs that address health, safety, accessibility, weatherization, and housing code concerns.
YHDP: Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program
Funds a range of housing solutions, including rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, and host homes paired with wrap-around services tailored to youth needs.
Community Housing Assistance
Helps secure affordable, safe, and accessible housing for those in need.
Housing Case Management
Empowers individuals and families facing housing insecurity to achieve stability.
Liberty Apartments
Provides 40 units of affordable housing in South Cape.
Lindenwood Senior Apartments
Offers 67 units of affordable senior housing.
Employment & Job Training
Resources for individuals seeking employment, job training, or overcoming barriers to work.
LEAP
LEAP supports reentry with training, life skills, and resources, empowering participants toward employment and success.
YouthBuild
Offers job training, education, and community projects for individuals aged 16-24.
STEP/SkillUP
Offers SNAP recipients training for rapid employment to reduce reliance on public assistance.
Empowering Dads to Gain Employment (EDGE)
Addresses challenges faced by non-custodial parents, including child support and employment barriers.
Parenting & Family Support
Programs designed to assist fathers, young parents, and families in developing parenting skills and accessing resources.
THRIVE: Birth to Five
Helps enhance the quality of early childhood education for childcare providers and families promoting school readiness and focuses on building knowledge and skills to support children through high quality, responsive, relationship-based care.
EDD (Every Day Dads)
Supports low-income, non-custodial fathers with workshops and mentoring.
MMP (Missouri Mentoring Partnership)
Helps young parents prevent unplanned pregnancies and improve parenting skills.
Community Development & Engagement
Initiatives aimed at strengthening communities through research, volunteerism, and nonprofit capacity building.
SOLVE: Strengthening Our Local Voices to End Firearm Violence
A collaboration through youth action councils and response networks to strengthen coordination, address service barriers, and amplify local voices around firearm violence in Cape Girardeau.
CPSEMO Community Research and Development Departments
Strategically assesses community needs to drive impactful solutions.
AmeriCorps VISTA
A federal initiative deploying VISTAs within CPSEMO, offering stipends and educational rewards to support community programs.
